  1. Design, manufacturing, and assembly of the “Happy Seat” for FORD.

Design, manufacturing, and assembly of the “Happy Seat” for FORD.

Setting, fitting, and fixing some pieces on the chassis of an automobile can be more complicated than it seems. This is how management at FORD in Almussafes, Valencia saw it when they came to us looking for a solution. Born from this was “Happy Seat”, a guided mechanical device to screw in pedals, airbags, and tightening the glass on panoramic windows amongst other functions. This tool allows the operator to carry out all of these tasks in a minimum amount of time and using minimum effort.

  2. Design, manufacturing, and on site assembly of a guardrail handler for GALESA.

Design, manufacturing, and on site assembly of a guardrail handler for GALESA.

The client needed a specific solution in order to introduce highway guardrails into the galvanizing bath. Mecanizados designed and manufactured a device adapted to their specific requirements and then installed the system in the plant.

  3. Design, manufacturing and on site assembly of an automobile glass handler for PILKINGTON.

Design, manufacturing and on site assembly of an automobile glass handler for PILKINGTON.

The handling of glass is delicate and has certain peculiarities. Mecanizados took all of these into consideration when designing, manufacturing, and setting up a device to handle automobile glass which allowed our client to improve its productivity.

  4. Design, manufacturing, and testing of hatches and doors for NAVANTIA.

Design, manufacturing, and testing of hatches and doors for NAVANTIA.

One of our maxims is that if we can do something, we don’t leave it so that the client has to do it. This is the case with the hatches and non-resistant doors designed and manufactured for the shipyard NAVANTIA, which were put through rigorous resistance and working testing before being supplied to the client.

  5. Design, manufacturing, and assembly of D.A.M.A.S for NAVANTIA shipyard.

Design, manufacturing, and assembly of D.A.M.A.S for NAVANTIA shipyard.

Our client, the shipyard NAVANTIA, had detected that when fitting the structural rings of their submarines the alignment was not completely perfect. Mecanizados answered with the DAMAS system, mechanized devices that assemble rings. A solution which not only allowed the rings to be perfectly aligned, but also saved time as it allowed for several rings to be welded at the same time. Working conditions also improved for the operators.

  6. Manufacturing of light-weight sheet metal for BMW SAUBER F1 team.

Manufacturing of light-weight sheet metal for BMW SAUBER F1 team.

On the structure of a F1 car even the smallest pieces have high demand requirements. When the BMW SAUBER team was training on the track in Cheste and an unexpected problem came up on the chassis of the car, Mecanizados was there to supply them with an effective solution in record time.

  7. Manufacturing of metallic components for the America’s Cup team ALINGHI.

Manufacturing of metallic components for the America’s Cup team ALINGHI.

America’s Cup team Alinghi confided in Mecanizados to manufacture different metallic components for its boats. We like to believe that we had something to do with the fact that they later went on to win the world’s most important regatta.

  8. Coker valve maintenance for BP OIL.

Coker valve maintenance for BP OIL.

The BP OIL refinery in Castellon had an optimization problem in the repair of their coker valves: time. Periodically, they were obliged to send their valves to the other side of the Atlantic to be repaired, a process which meant 5 months down time. Mecanizados committed to improving this turn around time. We did it 4 weeks.

  9. Design, manufacturing, and assembly of component handlers for FORD.

Design, manufacturing, and assembly of component handlers for FORD.

The assembly lines at the FORD plant in Almussafes, Valencia work with the same precision as a Swiss watch. However, since everything in life can be improved upon, management came to us looking for a tailored solution to improve the efficiency and workers’ comfort when installing the components on the vehicles. Since we design and manufacture our own handlers, fit seats, tires, roofs, or batteries it is faster and lighter than ever.

  10. Manufacturing of submarine parts for the shipyard MAZAGON DOCK.

Manufacturing of submarine parts for the shipyard MAZAGON DOCK.

On a submarine even the smallest pieces require precision and impeccable traceability. The Indian shipyard MAZAGON DOCK knew this when they charged us with the manufacturing of all of the piping parts and accessories in coppernickel and copperaluminium for their submarines.
